Community clinic in Tindog, Medellin

More than 120 patients availed of free medical services and medicines in a community clinic in Barangay Tindog, Medellin last October 23.

The barangay together with Barangays Dalingding Norte and Paypay in Daanbantay are beneficiaries of a community-based health program project implemented by the VPHCS with the support of LandsAid, a humanitarian aid organization since May 2015.

Aside from medical consultations for illnesses for children and adults, diabetes screening for adults was also done.

The medical team included VPHCS staff Dr. Erlinda Posadas, Dr. Sandley Sabang, Gullas College of Medicine medical interns Ave Tabique, Jason Wong, Aiza Abubakar, Belmar Quilla, and Biplab Adhikari, Jenny Babe Cabatania.

Trained CHWs also facilitated the registration of patients, dispensed medicines, and conducted health education.

Charlotte Sielicki, LandsAid project manager who was in Cebu for a monitoring visit was present during the clinic.
