Accreditation by the Cebu City Government

The Visayas Primary Healthcare Services was granted accreditation as a non-government organization (NGO) by the Cebu City government during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod on October 15, 2019. Resolution number 15-0958-2019 was signed by Roy Vincent I. Alix, OIC-Acting Secretary of the SP, Donaldo C. Hontiveros, Acting Presiding Officer and City Mayor Edgardo C. Labella.

The VPHCS was granted the accreditation after satisfactorily complying with the requirements for accreditation pursuant to the Local Government Code and as promulgated in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2016 – 97 dated July 19, 2016. The Cebu City Private Sector Organizations Evaluation and Monitoring Board (CCPSOEMB) recommended to the SP for approval of the application of the accreditation.

The accreditation is valid until October 15, 2020.

The Visayas Primary Healthcare Services, Inc. (VPHCS) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization which aims to promote primary health care programs in the Visayas regions. The VPHCS assists people’s organizations in the marginalized sectors of society – urban poor dwellers, farmers, fisherfolks, women and children — in building and strengthening community-based health programs (CBHPs). It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 2, 2008 with Registration number CN200825945.
