More than 150 patients availed of free medical services and medicines in a community clinic in Sitio Gomez, Barangay Dalingding Norte and SitioMayjo, Barangay Paypay, Municipality of Daanbantayan, Cebu, last November 15.
The barangays together with BarangayTindog, Medellin, are beneficiaries of a community-based health program project implemented by the VPHCS with the support of LandsAid, a humanitarian aid organization since May 2015.
Aside from medical consultations for illnesses for children and adults, diabetes screening for adults was also done.
The medical team included VPHCS staff Dr. Erlinda Posadas and medical students of Gullas College of Medicine Belmar Quilla and Neil Bryan Caliso.
Trained CHWs also facilitated the registration of patients, dispensed medicines, and conducted health education.
