After the seminars on disaster preparedness, each of the people’s organizations (PO) was given disaster kits consisting of flashlights, whistles, ropes, transistor radios, megaphone and other paraphernalia to be used by their disaster committees in case of disasters by enhancing safety, communication, and coordination.

Flashlights provide illumination in the dark, which is essential during power outages or if the people have to navigate through poorly lit or obstructed areas. Flashlights also help locate individuals or navigate through dark or damaged structures, and reduce the risk of accidents or injuries by improving visibility.
Whistles can serve as a means of alerting others or calling for help, especially in noisy or chaotic environments where shouting may not be effective. They are also useful for getting the attention of rescuers or other people when voice communication is difficult. Ropes provide a means to navigate obstacles, secure objects, or assist in rescue operations, or to pull people to safety or lower them from heights. Transistor radios allow for receiving news, emergency broadcasts, and updates from authorities during disasters, particularly when other communication channels may be down. They keep individuals informed about the disaster status, weather conditions, and emergency instructions.

Megaphones are useful for making public announcements, giving instructions, or coordinating large groups during evacuations or emergency responses, and can be used to alert or direct people in emergency situations.
The disaster kits are kept by the disaster committees of the POs.
