Medical mission in Bohol

As part of its continuing health services to marginalized rural communities in Bohol, the Visayas Primary Healthcare Services conducted a medical mission in Barangay Taboan, Antequera on March 14, 2015

More than 150 patients availed of medical and dental check-ups, urinalysis and diabetes mellitus screening. Medicines were also dispensed.

The medical mission was held as a request from the Kababayen-an Kontra Kakabus-Antequera (Women against Poverty – Antequera ). It was also held in coordination with the Antequeranhon Kahugpungan sa mga Mag-uuma (Farmers Association in Antequera). The Task Force Carabao – Germany provided financial support for the mission.

The medical team was composed of VPHCS staff Dr. Erlinda Posadas, Irish Grace Ramirez, Lucila Carreon, and volunteers Dr. Judee Jabonillo, Dr. Jackie Lou Acha, Dr. Lynn Suan, Dr. Florimer Bojos and medical intern Charles Loquere.
