A meeting with the staff of the City Health Office of Bogo City was held on November 12, 2020 in the office in order to discuss about the development of a health declaration tool for sea passengers in Polambato Port.

The meeting was attended by Maricel B. Mariquit, RN, Shilom D. Arrogante, both nurses of the Nurses Deployment Program (NDP), and project staff, Dr. Erlinda Posadas, Irish Grace Ramirez, Petty de Castro and Crescenciana Labitad.

Dr. Posadas presented the agenda and said that an activity of the USAID ReachHealth project is to develop a health declaration tool and database for sea passengers.

It was learned that arriving passengers in Polambato Port from Palompon, Leyte, have their temperature checked upon arrival. If there is any passenger with a temperature of 38 degrees Celcius or above, he is made to rest and his temperature is checked again. If it is still high, the port personnel calls the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) which sends personnel to get the passenger and bring him to the temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF) of the city where health personnel attend to him.
