Operation tuli in Lapu-lapu City

The Visayas Primary Healthcare Services participated in an operation tuli in St. Arnold Janssen Village in Barangay Soong, Lapu-lapu City on May 11, 2019. The community was established by the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation – Integrated Development Center (JPIC-ID) of the Society of Divine World.

Beneficiaries of the housing units were scavengers and homeless people organized by the JPIC.

The tuli, a yearly activity of the community, served 100 boys. Staff and volunteers of the VPHCS joined the community health workers in the community in rendering the services.

The VPHCS assists people’s organizations in the marginalized sectors of society – urban poor dwellers, farmers, fisherfolks, women and children — in building and strengthening community-based health programs (CBHPs).
