Training for Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) and Nurses of Medellin

The third batch of training on COVID-19 response for Medellin was conducted on September 11, 2020. It was held at the Medellin Central School. There was a total of 31 participants which included four nurses of the Rural Health Unit of Medellin and 27 members of Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) from seven barangays.

Resource persons included the following, namely: Edgar Gahisan who covered the topic Roles and Functions of BHERTs, Dr. Erlinda Posadas who tackled Infection Prevention and Control, and Lucila Carreon who discussed about Risk Communication and Community Engagement.

The process of registration, distribution of the training kits, and orientation on the health protocols, and the flow and content of the trainings were similar to those of previous similar trainings conducted in Medellin and Tabuelan.
