Trainings on Asset-based Community Development Training (ABCD) were conducted for the Sitio Lawis Pasil Women’s Association, Tierra Dulce Homeowners’ Association, Sitio Wang Yu Women’s Association and Sitio Nangka Ville Women’s Association last June 2024.

The resource person for the trainings was Nobert M. Ejusa, a staff member of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente – Visayas – Mindanao Regional Office for Development (IFI-VIMROD).

ABCD focuses on identifying and maximizing the existing assets and strengths within the community. The training had workshops where the women brainstormed on ways on how they can work together, share knowledge, and pool resources, which can enhance their ability to create and sustain livelihood projects. They identified their strengths and resources, as well as their leaders. They hoped that they would ultimately be able to increase their income and improve their economic well-being.
